Employee Spotlight: Anand Narasimhan
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” This quote from Winston Churchill perfectly embodies the character and attitude of Anand Narasimhan, Finance and Business Operations Manager at Converge.
Joining over 13 years ago, Anand’s dedication and growth mindset led him to develop his career from a Collection Officer to his current role, managing Converge’s Business Intelligence team. Anand is responsible for providing actionable data intelligence, reports, and projections that guide management’s decisions and ultimately improve business performance. In addition, he manages finance, accounting, and statutory compliance for the Converge India entity.
“It has been a very exciting journey with Converge for me,” says Anand. “I love working with numbers and data and I am fortunate to work with such a collaborative team.”
Anand continued to speak highly of the people-friendly work culture that brings out the best within himself and others as well as the recognition and motivation from leadership. “Lawrence Tan, my manager, is my biggest inspiration within the company. The confidence he has in me keeps me motivated and he is always open to suggestions and new ideas for improvement. His guidance has been instrumental in shaping my career and getting me to where I am today.”
When asked about Anand, Lawrence Tan, Global Business Operations and APAC Finance Director, said, “He continuously seeks out opportunities to explore new things, learn, improve his skills, and expand his awareness. He is a key contributor to the success of Converge.”
Anand shared, “Converge is a great place to work, where people from different regions and countries come together to create a friendly, conducive work atmosphere. I’m appreciative that the organization is very open to the suggestions and ideas for improvement from their employees.”
As for his hopes for his future at Converge, Anand looks forward to working in diverse functions and expanding his horizon. When asked about incoming new hires at Converge, Anand stressed that they must, “respect each other, grow together with the company, and take pride in being part of a world-class organization.” He continued to say, “remain optimistic. If you have the intent to learn more and improvise while doing your job, then you are at the right place.”
