Typhoon Saola Nears Hong Kong

HONG KONG, CHINA, August 31, 2023 – Typhoon Saola is forecasted to scrape the coast of Guangdong province tonight and tomorrow morning. The Hong Kong government has officially issued a Storm Signal No. 8 warning. Citizens are urged to brace themselves in their homes or somewhere safe. Citizens must be wary of low-lying coastal areas and other flood-susceptible locations. Violent winds and heavy rain are expected. Business operations will be shut down today and tomorrow.
